Amon-Ra had another game of 100+ yards last night, and I was checking his stats and he holds up pretty well against the top receivers in the league, despite missing a game.

  • T-6th in receptions
  • 12th in catch rate among WR despite being 6th in targets
  • 6th in receiving yards
  • 10th in success rate among WR
  • 5th in yards per game
  • 83.6 PFF grade (his PFF grade in 2022 was 90.7, 2nd in the league as well)

He just passed Calvin Johnson for most receiving yards through 40 career games in Lions history. Goff looks to him all the time on crucial third downs and he comes through, often in traffic, the significant majority of the time. Great downfield blocker as well. I am biased, but I think he’s a top 10 WR. Am I wrong?

There are so many good receivers that the top 10 needs to be truly elite. He’s a fantastic player but I always view WR top 5 and top 10 as having “legacy” type spots. For example Adams while not having a productive year by stats is still playing well.

There are just so many good receivers, but at worst he’s like 12-13
