I bought my refurbished 14 M2 Max in August. Only thing I envy in the M3s is the inclusion of Ray Tracing. But other than that, the space black colorway is cool but I still prefer my silver. Hope the black doesn’t chip easily.

They are nice but no remorse. Got a M2 air 13inch last few weeks ago. Boss at work also ordered 3 macbook pros + 3 Imacs for work. Prior to this announcement, that is sad. But still great machines regardless. Im a new Apple customer too

No remorse, love my 15” Air but if the M3 base 14” Pro had been an option, I probably would have gone with it. The notion of a prosumer variant of the MBP excites me. The old 13” Touch Bar configuration had all the baggage of the Touch Bar era Pro. I held onto my 2014 13” MBP for years because I was unhappy with the Touch Bar.

Since they’re lowering the prices of m2 pro 14, do yall think i should buy it over the m2 air 13 with 16gb? I don’t care about screen size, all i care about is performance and longevity.

I did not care for m3 either way, I already knew the performance gains would be minimal, judging by the a17 pro’s performance. however, I am both happy and disappointed to see minimal improvements of other parts of the MacBooks pro’s. No Face ID, no improved promotion that can go as low as 10 or even 1 hz, no oled, only a slightly brighter display, no improved speakers, still no USB-A port. I’m glad that apple gives me absolutely no reason to upgrade, but on the other hand I’m sad to see that apple is not even TRYING to innovate, and instead will probably use this same design for another 5-8 years before introducing something new again.

You’re ALWAYS GOING TO HAVE REGRET if all you think about is what others have or what’s coming out. Buy it when you need it and replace it when it no longer serves your needs.

I’m convinced most people here don’t actually use their laptops for real work and only buy them as a status symbol

Had the M1 air since launch, 8/256.

Gonna grab an M1/2 pro on the cheap to last me the next 5 years or some shit.

I got M1 Pro 14 in Feb for $1500 at Costco. I don’t see myself upgrading or feeling hurt by a bit faster model. Also, idk how I would ever go 17hr yet 22 watching movies on the go. I’d rather not lose dual fans and faster memory for a faster cpu and mediocre RT in three games.

I feel nothing. If I have any regret, it will likely be due to the fact I locked myself into an ecosystem by purchasing from Apple at all (no repairing, no cost effective battery replacement, no upgrading, low software customization, no MacOS versions of stuff I like, etc). My M2 is going to be my main laptop for at least another 5 years, more likely 10. My Asus from 2015 is still in use.
