Anyone watching the stream? Did I just hear that right? New MacBook 14in Pro is no longer $1999 but now $1699😳!! I was thinking about buying my second pro, and now it’s a 100% yes. Definitely worth the difference in price over the air. Let’s see what Black Friday deals or eduction pricing offer!
EDIT: $1599! 🤯🤯
Isn’t student pricing just like $100 less? That’s literally not a discount
But with 8GB instead of 16GB. Still a bit cheaper but grossly mis-advertised.
$1599 is a good price, but 8GB of ram is a joke in almost 2024 and the fact that it only gets M3 is absurd. It’s an extra $400 just to get the M3 Pro chip 😐
No it makes sense. It means they’re eliminating the 13” abomination. I agree 8GB isn’t enough for most but many really only want the Pro for the display. This gives them an option. Bump it to 16GB and it’s still only $1,799.
If display is what they want then why not M2 15” Air for around 1000?
M3 pro chip AND extra ram.
Yeah…. My M1 Pro 14” is fine, has a pro chip too and twice the starting ram, I’ll be fine.
Originally when I saw it on screen I was impressed until they didn’t give it the Pro chip and halved the ram.
Yeah but with 8GB RAM… they’re being ridiculous at this point with a $1599 machine. Could’ve equipped it with at least 12GB…
How can a computer thats called “Pro” only have 8GB of ram. Why would you want a Pro model if only 8GB of ram? You should be looking at the Macbook Air if you don’t need much ram.
$1599 for 8gb you can take it up to 16gb for $200, although Apple sells the 14" M2 Pro with 16gb refurbished for $1599 now, which is better because it can support 2 displays, rather than the 1 display the M3 can. And making the black color require the M3 Pro is just typical.
Only Apple can increase the price of the MacBook Pro 13 inch and tell people it’s actually a price cut.
8GB is a joke
$1499 with education pricing
What a horrible disappointment. 8GB of RAM. I guess I will be buying a used laptop. Apple is not getting my money.
It’s not much, but with the performance of a Mac, I think it might work just fine for an average person.
I was surprised as well, apparently that’s for 8GB ram; in a pro model, in (almost) 2024…
