Does anyone have experience with using Joplin with local file system synchronisation and then synchronising that folder via Resilio Sync to another device? I just tested it between my phone and computer, and it seems to work ok. But what would happen if I shared that folder with my partner as well, so we could share notes and lists? There would be a risk of us changing something at the same time.

i use a free Nextcloud host and.sync via there to 1 x linux desktop, 1x Linux Laptop an 1 Android phone. i am wary when it syncs and always wait when i open Joplin but so far no issues, you’re not using Joplin itself to sync though so…

    The newest update would win.

Though that would have to be down to at least the second, maybe smaller.

I’m not positive on this, I’ve used Joplin with Syncthing with no issues.

I think by default Resilio has a tighter sync timing than Syncthing (though ST is adjustable) - how sensitive it is in time would be the concern.

It will consider the newest change to the file to be the one to use.

It does seem to create a new file when a change is made. Not sure when it cleans up the old one.

Thank you for your insight! Maybe we’ll do some testing. Honestly, I didn’t think it would be this difficult to replace Microsoft To Do with a European alternative. I’ve been looking through a lot of tools lately and I really like what Joplin can do. For shared lists we might end up back at our e-mail provider’s web interface without any app sync, though.
