I’m just curious if it’s because there was a particular app or a workflow that motivated you to get a MacBook? Or just the Apple ecosystem?

Genuinely just curious.

Mixed bag. The butterfly keyboard were horrendous. And I’m worried about repairing the screen with that notch

Sure, they’ve had their issues too. Still beats the alternative though. I’ve never used a butterfly keyboard myself.

I just bought a new one to replace my previous one that lasted 12 years - 3 times longer than any of my previous PC laptops

I just built a PC for gaming. My first in 15 years. I’ve had a Mac for a long time.

The quality just can’t compare. Mac is so much smoother. I spent more on this PC build than I did on my new MacBook last year and Windows is just… flimsy feeling. It’s hard to describe. But it’s how I feel about iPhone vs. android too. I just prefer Apple’s design.

Yes. For Apple it’s the whole package. They make both the hardware & software. So they compliment each other perfectly. Meanwhile Windows has to run on a wide range of possible combinations. I have a Windows 10 desktop which I rebuilt from a prebuilt. It was so garbage until I got a new case. There was no airflow & everything got way too hot. Manufacturers cut too many corners. They need to focus on their builds and their functionality. Apple blow everything away except for things like gaming & specific programs.

Aside from having some old OS, my 2015 MacBook Air does everything I need it too. I can even run virtual machines on it and dual use OS. It’s not perfect but literally does anything I need it too still

100% accurate. I have pushed my MacBook Pro way more than my windows laptop and it never dies. Never crashes. It’s a beast. We are talking 3d rendering, video editing, live streaming at the same time.

Same for me as for the reason. As for the purpose, I got mine recently for music production and entertainment. I just can’t get into tablets for general entertainment.
