George is not an embarrassment. He’s a good man who loves the city and team. Snyder was an embarrassment. Haslam is an embarrassment. George has made incompetent decisions by putting incompetent people in charge of operations. I’ll criticize him for that, but I’m not going to go overboard.

What exactly has George done that makes people think he actually negatively impacts the team? Besides hanging onto Pace and Nagy one year too long.

Other than that he doesn’t seem to get involved in player decisions and is not cheap. All his GM hires that I can remember were initially seen as good hires around the league.

I’m convinced she died 20 years ago and management is dragging her around in an elaborate Weekend at Bernie’s scheme

It’s crazy how this family has been around football for their whole lives, yet they are so inept about it to the point that they need to hire consultants when looking for a new general manager or head coach.

This would be like a lifelong math teacher not knowing how to multiply fractions, or a lifelong mechanic not knowing how to do an oil change. It’s unbelievable just how incompetent this entire family is

They already hired Kevin Warren. At this point it’s his show and he just got here, and Kevin wasn’t going to let everyone go.

I think this is what people are forgetting. If Ted was still team president, then i would absolutely agree with people complaining about the McCaskeys. But this is the first time in 30 years that a new team president, one who is actually well qualified for the role, is getting to make decisions for the team. We shouldnt need to hire a ragtag consulting team of former GMs who havent been around NFL teams in over a decade to lead interviews. The Kevin Warren hire was unprecedented for the McCaskeys and im optimistic because of it.

What does he do now? Like really what is his function?

I was under the impression that he has stepped away from all football decisions and handed those responsibilities to Warren. So we should be trending upwards in the next few years right?

The only way to impact the McCaskey’s is to write/call the state and local politicians to prevent ANY stadium subsidiaries. This includes infrastructure. Make it cost-prohibitive, then screw them on SF rent even more.
