Is this 90% on time performance in the room with us right now? Or am I missing something? What dataset is this based on?
I’m pretty sure over 50% of trains are officially delayed, and it’s getting worse every year. They allegedly went so far at to cancel trains instead of letting them be late, just cause then they don’t show as late in that statistic.
Amtrak deserves to be celebrated for achieving that much in a country dedicated to making it fail. It’s like watching a dude with no arms try to beat up mike tyson.
Honestly, they’re lucky they get to use the rails at all. The freight train companies monopolize them.
