Not all of them. The german public broadcasting companies are supposed to be „neutral“ and are state funded. And they are normalizing this shit too.

I think it’s especially the traditional media that carries some trust that breaks the camel‘s back: we know that the tabloid press shits out one inflammatory headline after another; but when the „serious“ media picks it up, that’s when these opinions become mainstream.

How is it not owned by them? The EU version of Politico is published by Axel Springer Verlag. That’s enough to know they are right wing and cannot be taken serious.

The Jacobin, New International, are better sources anyways. Thanks for the filter btw!

Is it an idea to put it on Codeberg instead of Github?

From Politico of all things. And what media? The only mainstreem media left is NBC and ABC and both are heavily corporate (Comcast/Disney).

I don’t think US media are the primary focus of this article by politico.eu, talking about European politics “from Reform UK and France’s National Rally to Brothers of Italy and Alternative for Germany”.

That said, yes it’s quite ironic that this is published by politico when their owner Axel Springer SE is one of the main culprits.

Does it matter if it’s mainstream? We should use media that are worker-owned and not corporate, they will be much more likely to provide actual criticism, methinks.

interesting article - considering it’s from a Springer SE outlet (which is, by far, a right-wing media company on its own).

Presenting everything that’s happening as somehow normal — even while sensationalizing it — is what the mass media do now. I don’t mean it’s a conspiracy, it’s just that’s all they know how to do.

especially after gutting their own internal reporters/journalists, to save $ all US mainstream media does now is pull shit from social media and spin/sanitize it for the handful of boomers still watching their networks
