I have this HDD for 6 years now. Its working fine till now. Though I have backup the data. I’m wondering what the reason for this could be. It always made this sound from beginning. I have never encountered this with other HDDs.

A single click on shutdown is probably the heads being parked. Some drives are louder than others when doing this.
