So I’ve been looking into either buying a MBA 15” with 16gigs of RAM or a base MBP 14”. I’ll mostly be using it for recording gameplay from my PS5 through my ElGato Game Capture. I will be recording in 4K 60FPS, but I wouldn’t be editing much at all maybe just trimming video. I’m hesitant about buying the Air because it lacks cooling and my room gets pretty hot, so I feel like a Pro would help mitigate overheating. Appreciate any advice!
would you be upgrading storage on the 15in mba too? if so then the air would definitely be plenty of computer for you ! i definitely don’t recommend going 15in Air w/ base 256gb storage
however, the 14in pro would obviously be an even bigger beast of a laptop & if you can swing it would be the best buy unless you really value having a bigger screen. But keep in mind the 14in pros screen may not be as big but is a whole lot better so…
the 15in Air 16gb/512gb would 100% be great though, could even get a cooling pad if worried about being hot in your room !
Yeah I think ima go for the MBA and save some money, I think the MBP would kinda overkill, but I’ll probably hold off on purchasing until after the Apple event to see if anything new is coming
