Ours are usually at trailheads in state/local parks that have the trail routes and a bit of information pertaining to what flora/fauna may be typical to the area. Maybe a bit of history
In my region they are mostly situated near government buildings with data about telephone numbers, working hours and some crazy gibberish. All is outdated.
We don’t have many of them where I live, but they never have any useful information.
Not literally “never”, but often it’s so cursory that it’s useless, or written so poorly, it’s hard to make sense of, or the display is old and faded.
However, when this structure is used as a community bulletin board, and the locals actually interact with it, it can be entertaining, at least.
I’m almost sure we live on the different sides of the planet, so you can expect that out experiences with… these things are different :)

Wasps exists here as species but are very rare. These “billboards” associate here with unsorted outdated data nobody asked for.
