So like many here, after updating to 10.1, SE 2 battery was basically non existent. It was especially crappy for me as I just migrated to my first iPhone and Apple Watch a month ago, so with the watch, pretty disappointing experience. That’s neither here nor there though. My watch would barely charge to as well. Surprisingly, there’s like zero info I could find of the beta fixes this issue, so I opted in and took the chance.
To get the watch to charge up past 50%, I had to put it in power save mode. I’m glad to say the beta did solve the issue and I’m getting better battery life than I did before. Over an hour since I updated and still at 80%, I only charged it up that far. I hope this info helps some others to actually use their device until a patch comes out for official.
Didn’t have this problem with my watch but good to hear there seems to be a fix already. On one hand, I’m grateful Apple has been quick to fix all these issues with the iPhone and Watch lately, at the same time pretty disappointed that all the glaring flaws are making it to the stable releases in the first place though.
Prob need a few charge and discharges to confirm the fix persists
I haven’t tried 10.2, but I did upgrade the phone to 17.1, and deleted the Moby app on the watch. It seems to be fine now. The bugs that were in the diagnostic log aren’t there anymore.
10.2 still isn’t available for me. Im currently on 10.0 but when i go to update(which i haven’t) only 10.1.1 is available. What do i need to do to get 10.2?
