I have an Apple Watch Series 7, and after installing the 10.1 update I have been experiencing a massive power drain. Whether it’s regular use or playing music or watching videos, my watch has always held a strong battery.
This new update drains a 100% charged device to entering low battery (10%) mode in a matter of a couple hours.
Solution (for now): remove the app Moby Watch Face.
I saw others recommend this a day ago in an Apple Support thread. I just tried it and my device is functioning normally once more. If you are experiencing this and the understandable accompanying frustration, give it a try! Re-install that app or other third-party apps once Apple gets a handle on this. I hope this helps!
Yep, SE2, deleted Moby last night after the battery drained in last than three hours. It seems to be normal again. I also checked my diagnostic logs, and don’t see any mention of bugs like I did earlier.
