Same TV, same App, same Dolby Vision 4k source, will gen 3 make the video playback quality better than gen 1 in any capacity?

    I love my 3rd gen Apple TV that my husband got me for my birthday. Best streaming device I’ve ever used.

    It’s fast, easy to use and just works. My favorite thing is the continue watching, it knows all my shows I watch. It’s so cool.

    I think it’s worth getting the newest one. You’ll love it.

    Failing to mention what TV you’re using doesn’t really help in determining if it’s going to be better or not.

      Yeah the difference between the gens are things like HDR10+ support that only matters if you have a Samsung TV etc
