On the heels of WestJet cancelling transborder routes, Air Transat has also pulled the plug on its remaining US flying.
Consulting firm Ailevon Pacific flagged that Air Transat had removed its last three US routes from future schedules, effectively ending its presence in the country which saw nine US routes as recently as March 2025.
Flights between Montreal and Orlando end 04MAY. Flights connecting Quebec City and Fort Lauderdale end 30MAY. And flights between Montreal and Fort Lauderdale end 13JUN.
The move underscores how tightly focused the Montreal‑based leisure airline has become on core sun and Europe flying out of eastern Canada, with less appetite for thinner, higher‑cost US routes, particularly as cross-border demand by Canadians plummets.
Overall capacity to the US by Canadian carriers has decreased by 10% compared with February 2025.
