A Computer Virus normally targets the weaknesses of an operating system in order to do horrible things to it’s user. But what happens with a multi-trillion dollar company spends a decade slowly changing their own operating system to act just like a virus?

Stallman was right. IMHO.
The surveilance economy was a grey zone in ancient time. Few did anything to put up a fight. In modern times it is normalized.
I’ve been saying this since the Mac vs Windows flame wars of the early 90s.
Windows is so entranched in people’s lives, they’d still be most used OS if the new update started shooting their house pets in the head.
And still it forms the central cogs in the corporate machine.
