The fun part is that the power also sits with the people in capitalism. The whole system is based on consumers putting money back into the system. If it doesn’t flow back up from the bottom, it eventually doesn’t flow at all.
The annoying part is people going to work and producing for a machine that has broken the loop. Stop going to work. Stop consuming. It would change immediately, at scale.

it’s easy to say “stop working! stop buying stuff!” when the alternative for you isn’t immediate starvation.
