Ice/Border Patrol and the lot are different than Police. Police are at the State Level. The thugs are at the Federal level.
Also, in investigations, if a federal agency takes lead, state investigators take back seat and can be reprimanded for attempting to still do their own investigation if it gets in the way of the federal level.
American for sure had our Problem with police that needs to be addressed but currently the federal agent thugs are the problem right now.
I see the distinction, but it’s mostly moot to me. Police in America operate with only the vaguest, slightest oversight. ICE operates with none whatsoever. If ICE isn’t dismantled, it becomes the future of police work in this country — a police state without the pretense that it’s not.
