Black chickpeas make hummus that looks like that, that’d be my guess.

Nope, that could totally be spinach artichoke. I just recently made hummus with black chickpeas, and it looked similar to this. But lots of dips look alike.
It is interesting to hear that it can be that light colored. You’d think with the name black chickpeas it would be even darker!
Yeah it comes out pretty light if you use black chickpeas with normal tahini, but if you use black chickpeas AND black tahini it’s much much darker.
Give me hummus that’s as dark as my soul!
