So I was in the movie theater and saw a sequel preview to an original movie I’d never seen. I thought, I should probably check out the first one first. I got back to my hotel and looked it up, and every streaming platform that had it available was charging to rent or buy it. So I said, I’ll just download it through torrenting, which I did.

But then, as I was getting ready to watch it, I realized I didn’t want to watch it on my laptop. Since my hotel has the YouTube app on the a 42 inch TV, I figured I’d just buy it on YouTube and connect my account to the hotel’s YouTube app. Well, when I tried to watch it there, it kept giving me a playback error message and wouldn’t start.

I thought, fine, I’ll just watch it on YouTube on my laptop since I already paid to rent it. Nope, every time I tried, I got a “licensing error.” Now I have to waste even more time because I have to submit for a refund.

So basically, with no other legal way to watch it, I was forced to watch the torrented copy. Lesson learned, just pirate! 😂
