It seems that NIKKE intends to release on Steam based on this Steam login integration with the game’s launcher.

Try this at your own risk. Shift Up didn’t announce official support for running NIKKE on Linux, so they may ban you for this.
But based on the comments on Github, the person who discovered this was able to play everyday for at least two weeks without issues.
If anyone wanted TL;DR instructions:
- Download and install NIKKE on Windows.
- Transfer the entire
NIKKEdirectory from Windows to where yourdrive_cis located on Linux.- Add
nikke_launcher.exeas a non-Steam game. This exe file is located inNIKKE/Launcher/nikke_launcher.exe.- Select
Proton-GE Latestfor the Proton version you want to use on Steam.- Play.

I think I would maybe enjoy these gacha games if it weren’t for the gambling.
Gacha is gambling. If you mean a f2p game without gambling, not a lot I can think of. Warframe and path of exile are a couple that come to mind.
The storytelling in Nikke is legitimately interesting, and for what it’s worth I’ve never had to spend money.
Never had to click on an ad either, but i sure as fuck block em all.
Gambling games should all be shut down and burned. Fuck gambling.
I feel that’s a bit too far. I enjoy a few blackjacks or Texas Holem whenever we visit Nevada. Nowadays with the strip jacking up the price of shows and restaurants, the casinos are really the only highlight of Vegas nowadays. I’d put Macau over Vegas if not for China lmao.
Though if you live in the states, sports betting is alot more accessible compared to casinos.
Edit: Also as of a few weeks ago, CNN has partnered with a gambling company so that the average person can bet on world events or world tragedies right from home.
That’s why I’m a F2P player. Can’t gamble my savings away if I never gave them money in the first place.
isn’t that just what gacha means; gambling
