Something bothers me about Hunters - its a bit jarring that these hunters are going up against werewolves , ghosts , vampires etc and choose NOT to invest into a bit of armor ? Like seriously , some Kevlar or gloves or even a helmet would probably be useful . Granted - they might be impractical but uhm - you’re fighting things that SHOULDN’T EVEN EXIST . Seems a bit of a glaring oversight imo.

Also - I’m curious to know whether most hunters have basic hand-2-hand training or at least have some physical background ie ; military , law enforcement, athletics.

    I always got the impression that they’re all just scraping by. They show the main characters committing all sorts of fraud to get funding for the basic necessities and motel stays.

      It’s just part of the show/genre. They have all the guns they need, special supplies are found or sourced, and they have the money for lavish spending on hookers, beer, and uniforms/costumes…

      Now that may just be the main characters. The entire lot is depicted as being off the deep end, from rufus and his obsessions to the main two’s maternal grandfather (and family) willingness to sacrifice said family (and not themselves, like our main two are so heroically shown doing over and over). Maybe the rest have thrown away everything and not gained much back.

      I’m actually curious now. Other than the throwaway line in the first episode about dean still committing the fraud like their dad had done, are there any mentions of money/income? I may recall something during the bobby as daddy times.
