When you see what Christianity has stood for in the US over the past decade, it’s no wonder.
I spent a long time as an agnostic lying to myself about their true nature and aspirations. I regret this is what it took to make me see them for what they are

decadecentury it’s no wonder.No, a drop in religiosity over the past decade is more likely to be explained by events in the last decade than events over the last century.
Yes the current crop of hypocritical charlatans have made their corruptions abundantly clear, and are giving more people pause to question the validity of religious claims in general.
But the previous generations running the same scam started the slow (but accelerating) turning away from those same religions claims.
I would lose my faith too, with that president!
I almost posted this to /c/upliftingnews.
The religious right is attempting to sell a small boost with young, white men as some overwhelming religious awakening.
Need a bigger drop in influential figures.
