    Huh???

Why would buttermilk be woke anyhow? No really, I want to know the precise way their tired synapses are misfiring.

I think they are saying that taking buttermilk out of the recipe made it woke. Not that that helps shed any light on their alleged reasoning…

Anything that doesn’t cause cardiovascular disease or cancer within 15 years is woke. Think about it.

tbf buttermilk is pretty low fat. It’s what’s left over when you make butter. OOP’s argument is still dumb though.

The original recipe was great and everything new or changed sucks. Big Brother removed buttermilk to stop you, a true #blessed American, from having what your forefathers had.

Just as an aside, I’m an old and food was fucking dogshit just about everywhere all the time until the recent explosion of amazing food across the board over the last 20 years or so. Everyone hid their crap food under megatons of fats.

This person might be wrong. But ive had a chip on my shoulder about Kellogg’s. They changed their rice krispy treat recipe to have half as much butter, and more cereal relative to the marshmallows. And then had the nerve to call that recipe “The Original Treats™”. It doesn’t even stick together. I think its supposed to be “healthier” but its garbage.

So there are definitely companies that engage in recipe gaslighting.

While the original person is a dumbass, the person replying is also a dumbass. Buttermilk is not a frosting. You can make frosting from buttermilk, but buttermilk itself is a liquid.
