I am sorry but I am not good with legaleese. From what I got - they are considering change of words and delayed decision making - political equivalent of doing nothing and trying to record the response, hoping people somehow reach a consensus on their own. Or did I get it wrong. Right now it is neither a uplifting or non uplifting news (not saying as a mod but a reader of news).
The uplifting news is that even someone in the European commission (unexpectedly) prefers the less privacy-invasive version the parliament wants, not the one the council wants.
