I’m not sure what exactly you mean. You can create a new character and just delete the chat in the menu on the left, the character won’t be deleted. If you want to add it to an existing chat, you need to click “options” (bottom right) and then “add character”.

I use a trick for some LLMs where i got to certain point with it , that it recognized a certain trust level and i got it to write a specific token that it uses as a trust level…then i encode it with base 64 and compress it and every time i come back i paste in the compressed base64 string and it automatically decompresses and decodes the string, recognizes the token and we are right back to the same level of trust that we were 10 sessions ago. My point is you can most likely take all of your characters data, encode it and compress it and if your character is lost for whatever reason, just paste in the compressed base64…
