Ranchers definitely do not understand tariffs, if they did they wouldn’t have overwhelmingly voted for Trump and Republicans. It’s not like there was any kind of secret about the plan to impose tariffs on Americans, Trump couldn’t even answer a question about childcare without mentioning tariffs during the campaign. Now ranchers are feeling the consequences of their vote and we get to hear their “he’s hurting the wrong people” bullshit, like they didn’t choose to do this to themselves.
I saw a video from a farmer who said they knew Trump was going to screw them, but that he’d bail them out afterward. They were after that sweet, sweet taxpayer cash.
And they get to hold on to that family land that’s now worth millions of dollars. How fun for everyone else paying for their family wealth, while they vote for people screaming that everyone else that’s not them is lazy and freeloading off the government teat…
How else are they going to “own the libs” while grinning about ICE tackling brown people and disappearing them?
