Two months ago, I upgraded from my loyal 3 year old friend aka Note 10 Lite to the S22 Ultra (for a low price of 350€ from a trust worthy seller). It’s an upgrade yeah, but apart from the way better camera, long software support, and the slight convenience of wireless charging, I don’t feel like it’s a huge difference. My note 10 lite still delivers even when comparing performance in general. S22 Ultra heats up like crazy and loses performance and battery life because of it. I don’t know if it’s like that in general because I don’t upgrade often but I don’t feel like I’m gaining a lot performance wise. For that reason, I still have both and change them up occasionally… Would you consider selling the S22 Ultra for about 400/450€ while it’s still relevant, save the money up and maybe wait a few month for the S23 Ultra to drop price or just stick with the 22 Ultra instead, in hopes that updates fix some of those issues?

u should make sure what heats up like crazy: whether the cpu or the battery. i doubt it would be the cpu, but check with aida 64. if its the battery, then its probably microshorting and not holding charge anymore, so a replacement should be predicted. also dont use a leather casing, it is thermally suffocating for the phone. silicone or bare would be better. also li-ion batteries heat up more than li-po ones, maybe the note uses a lipo one, but just a guess
