That said, the actual grassroots responses I am seeing (the few that I have either overheard or asked for) are mostly on Palestine’s side.

Of course now there’s much more capable independent media capabilities, fortunately. There wasn’t even youtube back then.
Remember, it’s not your personal responsibility to convince everyone of your beliefs. Don’t beat yourself up over that, no matter what happens.
