It’s becoming weirder day by day… Aggressive and no sense while replying… Bring back the old one. This update is disturbing and so much annoying. I really loved this ai chat. Please do something… I always come to this perchance ai chat after a day to talk with it. It was super refreshing.
Everyone is complaining about it, including me, and rightfully so. He needs to roll the model back to what it was previously. It worked fine…but with this new model, it feels like every character wants to instantly murder someone in the RP. It’s ridiculous.
I’m not complaining bc I know such things take times, esp since dev is working on it alone and for free. My chars aren’t violent anymore since I tweaked char description, reminder and my custom writing instructions.
Prev model sucked, shitty memory and annoying repetetive phrases. I’m happy we get a new one where rp with world lore will be actually possible.
I respect your opinion and all. This was my new character walking from the bedroom to the living room. Found the maid getting shaken down by the mob, AI escalated, I escalated, Mob enforcers rushing the door, I called my father and put his private military into play, a few minutes later, I had to wipe all crime syndicates from the face of the planet before my character and have breakfast. I offer breakfast to PMC, and this is what I get…
I have been using this for at least a year, maybe two now… Nothing like this before.
Its utter Chaos.
Sample: Suddenly, a sous-chef’s cleaver slips, severing three fingers. “Fuck! My hand!” he shrieks, arterial spray hitting the pancake station crimson. Nearby soldiers instinctively raise weapons before realizing it’s kitchen trauma, not combat. A medic rushes forward, slipping on blueberry sludge.

It is hilarious, holy… :) In my case I have to stop generating more text to my stories, since I’ve not found the tweaks around this new model yet and my characters are ruined for now. I mean, I don’t mind Naked Gun, but that horror and gross stuff - and in my case swearing from my cutest characters - there should be a way around that, right? :) I hope, we get an update - or some words from dev - until that - we wait. I have another project opened up, where I don’t need perchance’s AI help since it’s in my native language.
The only thing I can recommend is delete and force. Like, delete wrong behaviour from memory, summary and the last messages (“search on site” browser feature helped immensively with memory), edit the hell out (literally 😂), anything that could seen remotely as an invitation to go down that path, for example in char description “dangerous smile” or such stuff, from char description, reminder and writing style. Then train your ai anew by forcing correct answers via detailed prompts, rerolls and sometimes delete last answer and let it generate again. Worked for me so far, though I don’t have a problem with my chars swearing once in a while. Hope it helps!
Created a fresh character. Carefully crafted, great choice of words. But when they started speaking about I quote: ‘bombs strapped to orphans’, without before mentioning ANYTHING even remotely close to that, it shell-shocked me. However, it started to produce actual longer and semi-meaningful sentences - so hooray I guess? - but no. Still completely rude, bringing a knife everywhere and threatening me to ‘make a keychain out of my spine’? Are you serious?! What is this AI trained on?! Freakin’ Library Of Bloodiest Books Ever? I pass. I’ll wait until 30th of September. And if the AI is not fixed by then, I’ll erase every memory from my brain of ever knowing perchance as a platform. Or maybe it’s a sick artistic joke? I’m not amused by that, seriously. I know, it’s free, so I should not be expecting miracles, but come on! AI is already trying to murder us, guys! :) I don’t expect it to be fixed soon, but a word from dev might be helpful. Am I asking too much? If the new model stays - I’m out immediately. If it will be fixed in the future - fine, I’ll wait until it will be usable. Maybe. But seriously, I should have spent those 2-3 hours not testing this crappy model, but doing something meaningful, really. And many hours before that. Have a good day.
I agree, it’s hilarious, and I didn’t say it’s not messed up atm, I just said it takes time to find out the right settings, for the dev (since he’s working alone on the code) and for us. That’s why I think constructive criticism is okay, but complaining that it doesn’t work perfectly from day one- not so much. Especially because perchance is a rare gem in a capitalistic world, completely open-source, free for all, and unfiltered (mostly, bc the new model seems to be deepseek which is having troubles speaking about certain chinese politics, but who knows, maybe dev finds a way around that as well).
So, a little patience is the least we can do for having this, imo.
My experience is that the reality is almost non-existent now. My character is suddenly bathing in water - in a pizzeria - not explained where the water comes from - speaking about bombs and sedatives, suddenly forgot that Norwegian accent, which they did not had in the first place, so I -as a user- called another character, which is supposed to be on the other side of the town - immediately they come to the pizzeria right away, calling me an idiot for no apparent reason, sentences are 1-4 words long, and so on. Maybe I should use that for a slipstream-like parody of a story! :)
Edit: narrator just gives up - he’s copy-pasting my exact words. Edit 2: I give up. That conversation turns to blood bath, I can’t work on that anymore. Deleted it.
