no intro this time

1: Utsu-P - Wraith

Utsu-P is, in my opinion, the GOAT of Voca-Metal. This one in particular is one of my favourite songs of his, so I was surprised to find that it’s not as popular as some of the other songs he’s known for. Should definitely give this a listen if you like his other stuff or just Voca-Metal (or regular metal) in general, the guitars in particular sound incredible in this.

2: wowaka - World’s End Dancehall

Another top 3 wowaka song in my opinion and another of the ones that made him popular. More than deserves the fame. (the first of the top 3 was Unknown Mother Goose, mentioned in week 6. For completion’s sake, the third one is Rolling Girl)

3: syudou - Flamingo

Nothing new to say here that I haven’t already said about his other songs

4: n-buna - Hanafurashi / Flowering

Classic Vocarock. n-bunas writes really wholesome songs, which I appreciate because most of the stuff in my playlist is kinda edgy.

5: PinnocchioP - Loveit

Like with syudou, I could say the same for almost every song of his, with the difference being that (I think) I listened too much to PinnocchioP when I first discovered him so I’ve become a bit bored of his style. Still very decent though

I also just noticed that the last title is a wordplay: Instead of writing ラブイット (Katakana transcription of “Love It”), he integrated the イッ into the ブ (ラブィット, notice how the ィ is small now), effectively making the pronunciation the same as ラビィト, the Katakana transcription of Rabbit. Miku has rabbit ears in the MV. Cute.

Oh, that’s interesting! (I really need to learn japanese at some point to understand such word plays.) Now I wonder what came first, the song or the wordplay. xD
