This feels so real. I’ve been so traumatised by toxic bosses, every time my current boss calls me, I expect the worst, but it’s actually just him checking on me and asking how I am doing, or that he needs my help with something. It takes a long, long time to get used to a decent manager.

Honestly, I’ve only had a handful of bosses, and thankfully, I can say none were truly toxic. With that said, I still feel like every time they want to talk is the day im getting fired, lol. My job is a higher anxiety type job where if things go wrong, you could be on the chopping block, so maybe that’s it.

Imposter syndrome is a hell of a drug when it comes to negotiations on salary… Lol

Every time there’s a network glitch and I get disconnected from work I briefly think “did I just get fired?”

But unfortunately it always reconnects and I have to go back to work.

Yeah my current job I started during the pandemic so it was like a year before I actually went into the office. I didn’t even really notice there was a phone on my desk. One day it started making a noise. It took me way too long to realize it was making noise because someone was calling me on the phone.
