I have American relatives who were (and probably still are) hardcore pro-Trump. While I vehemently disagree with their position, at least I can understand how it might serve them.
But when I meet a pro-Trump Canadian, it leaves me incredulous. Are we talking about the same person? The guy who literally started up a trade war with us which impacted our industries, communities, infrastructure projects, and on and on? The most Canada-hostile leader since I dunno, 1812?
I have a 75 year old uncle here in BC who forced his wife (my aunt) to disown my mother as a friend because of his slavish devotion to the maga-cult. These people think trump is the son of god.
