the major leftwing instances defeding with us was probably something we could see coming: lemmy.ml, lemmy.world, beehaw, etc.

shh instance seems like the devs want to keep federation but their userbase doesnt, if i am reading this right.

I guess I wanted to see some people poke fun at the " process" by us having our own mock vote here if we should defed them first. The redditors who werent gonna post here anyway are acting like we are being “punished” by defederation, and I think we should respin this somehow (the loss is really to them as they lose access to good information).

anyway vote aye or nay on defederating and mention the instance or propose some lulzy way to handle these goofy defederation vote processes going on LOL

    No, no need to. If they want to defederate let them do it. If we do it first they might think we are are actually affected by that decision. If an instance wants to defederate make one post about it and leave it like that. Don’t fill the whole feed with how instance X wants to defed and stuff

    Edit: let them get their dopamine hit from defederation. We don’t lose anything. They are the one who lose.

    Reading from another instance all I have to say is that defedaration is not a solution to anything. Users can block other users and that’s it. I am in favour of having the option to read any instance I find interesting. And really we all should drop the defederation drama and focus on debating others in a fair and civilized manner.

    Doesn’t really matter to me, I mostly read local posts and when I look at all it is just a bunch of retarded posts not worth my time. Exploding heads seems to be the only worthwhile instance in my opinion.

    Since users from other instances never post here, we might as well defederate them.

    @Wigglehard will attract many new users via right wing dating apps. He just has to stop using pictures of himself in the profiles!
