When going to the “Remove Ads” link in settings, or in the menu, it takes me to this page where I can’t click on anything. I’d love to donate, and I’d love to eliminate ads, but it’s preventing me from doing so. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? I had removed ads from Boost for Reddit, so did that carry over maybe? If so, that’s awesome, but I’m not against sending the creator more money, because I love Boost, and want to support him.
I’ve had a similar issue with a different app before, it was caused by the Play Store (which also lead to automatic updates not working for a while). I fixed it by Force-Stopping the Play Store and relaunching it again.
Disclaimer: I’m using a custom ROM where the Google stuff is sandboxed (GrapheneOS), maybe the bug doesn’t occur on Stock Android.
Me donating again
This is what I get so yeah, must be a bug. Try reinstalling.
Is there a way to change the Google account used to pay for Boost if more than one is present? I want to pay for Boost with an alternate account not with the currently associated account.
Same, I’m also not able to get anywhere that I’m able to donate. I also donated back when I was on Reddit, so not sure if that’s it or what. I’m trying to give away my money dammit! Nothing happens when I tap on anything.
Were you not prompted to do an in app purchase when you launched the app the first time?
I got that and immediately paid to unlock it.
Yes I also did that for Boost for Reddit but that was years ago. And btw his price is fantastic.
I didn’t see it, but I may have accidentally closed it.
I just tried it again, and it worked this time. Odd.
Not sure, but i do know that it doesn’t carry over from the reddit version.
