i’m not a “perfect” straight christian woman like you are, i’m not going to change myself because my looks “tempt” men. i dress for me, not for men.
i don’t CARE if same-gender relationships are “sins” and you’ll go to hell. there are some pro-lgbt churches. i don’t care if “all women are for is to complement men and they’re inferior and they should only be with other men for that reason”.
this shit makes me so mad. i don’t have to be religious if i don’t want to be. there’s this one straight christian woman i know and she hates other women it’s so annoying, and she claims to support the lgbt but “doesn’t care about gay/trans rights”.

Agree that that no one is the arbiter of “true” Christianity. Saying “Christians are Christians” though falls into the same trap. The UCC is nothing like Southern Baptists.
The UCC and the southern Baptists are still both Christians though. Their individual subclasses don’t change the superclass to which they’ve chosen to belong.
They behave wildly differently, though, which to me is the thing that actually matters.
Two individual ducks quack differently, but that doesn’t mean they’re something other than ducks.
One duck quacks “hate the gays” and the other duck quacks “love the gays” (for one example of many). Almost like the fact that they’re ducks isn’t the problem.
Then why are you in a thread arguing about what they choose to call themselves if that distinction is irrelevant to you? The fact is, Christians who hate gays and Christians who love gays are both Christians. They’re not fake Christians or real Christians just because you declare them so; they’re just Christians. Christians are Christians are Christians are Christians. They choose to be Christian, and thus they are Christian. That’s literally all that’s required.
