My elderly cat loves sitting on the computers, I think because they’re warm. She’s very obedient and leaves when asked but I’m wondering if anyone has had similar issues and found something appropriate and warm for them to snooze on?

Betty grudgingly sleeping on the pillow instead of the computer.

Thanks folks, these were great suggestions! I will be getting her a heat pad shortly!

You can buy little usb powered heating pads, just stick it under a pillow or blanket that she’d like. They also sell cat beds with them built in.

Oh that makes sense! I was a little worried it might be too hot but I imagine one at a pet store would have the temp taken care of etc.

      Thanks!

Just be a little careful if she starts to have mobility issues, with heated stuff. So long as she can get up and leave when it’s too warm, heated stuff is great for them.

Ohhhh good point, thanks! She’s still fairly mobile (though not as agile a jumper as she once was, which she gets angry about, loudly) but that’s a great thing to remember!

My cats love these. We’ve got a really fluffy round heated bed, but I found that mine like the rectangular mat/pad more on the couch. Might be placement and proximity to us though.

Ha, totally fair. I really hate SQL server’s dark mode options though and as I work through a few frustrating networks, I like just being plugged directly in, without screwing around with a better IDE.

But I’m an uncouth savage who uses f.lux as the day wears on.

Sounds like a great plan, hadn’t even considered they might have something like that! Thanks!
