In a democratic society, one of the fundamental rights of citizenship is the ability to vote freely for the candidate of our choice.

Many may feel they have no genuine choice but to support a candidate they don’t fully believe in, fearing that backing the other choice will cost them socially or professionally. The result is an erosion of one of democracy’s core values: the free and open right to choose.
