Google doesn’t make Android for the users, but as an extension of their advertising/tracking program. Same with Chrome. Users were always a secondary priority. But they made it opensource so they could circumvent being called a monopoly. Consumers like affordable tech and OEM like data too. So now it’s at well past a critical mass, it’s clamping up its strangle-hold limitimg customization and access.
And If you stray away from that agreement of being tracked 24/7, they’ll break stuff cuz they can.
