I still use a chromecast audio attached to my home speakers. It still works, but it’s obvious in the setup that Google hates me for still using it 😅
Google made a legitimate product that everyone could use in every household forever. It wasn’t going to make them lots of money, but it was a thing that everyone would mention when you went to someone’s how, so the marketing was invaluable.
But the big brains at Google decided that needed to monetize it and make it work for them, so they Assistant to it and having realised no one cared they cancelled it. So silly.
