Oh man, thanks for such a detailed answer! Sounds like a plan. ^^ Also, my best wishes to you, particularly as someone also struggling in my personal life. But it’s nice to know I’m not alone, here.

I read the first three Dune books long ago, and saw the 1984 movie & the 2000 series. Really loved the iconic Dune II & Dune 2000 video games, too. There’s even a cute ‘8-bit,’ scaled-down version here, playable online–> https://liquidream.itch.io/undune2

As for Jodo, I’ve meant to do a proper re-read of the three Incal series plus the various side-series, which include Technopriests, Metabarons, Castaki, and… do you know if anything else belongs with those?

But I certainly wouldn’t mind shining the spotlight on Jodo’s vast amount of other works. White Lama, for one, which helped me understand Buddhism to an extent.

There is an unfinished series called “After the Incal” which has only the first volume by Moebius and Jodo. However, surprisingly it did not manage to pull me in at all, so I won´t recommend spending money on it but of course it won´t hurt to read it for completion.

Interesting. WP is telling me that After the Incal got rewritten as Final Incal. Works for me. Oh yes, and I remember Megalex, now. I have it placed in the same folder as the Incal-universe works, so I guess I’ll leave it like that for now.

Now, what is Castaka?! OH SHIT! IT SEEMS TO BE PART OF THE PRIME JODOVERSE! How could I miss that until now?! Thank you so much for pointing me to it my dude!

Haha, sure! IIRC, it does overlap with some of the existing Metabaron’s line, but features some new material, I think about their origins.

I would also like to check out the Borgia series he did with … Milo Manara :P

I read that series, and for me it got kind of gruesome & depressing after a while, which was maybe the point. Rich, powerful people being degenerate and cruel, I guess you could say, which unfortunately isn’t unique to just that era. :S
