Honestly, I’ll probably stick around here until I get a firm idea of who’s doing what. Apart from my moral and ethical feelings about it all I also feel like Reddits on rocky ground despite things semi returning to normal. Plus I kinda feel like things are a little more intimate here, we can post pictures in the thread, and I’ve noticed folks interacting a lot more frequently, it’s just nice ya know.

Yeah, I’d like to stay here, assuming at least part of the DT follows suit. And yeah I totally get you, and it feels like people are more accepting of disagreements here. I’ve seen a few semi arguments, but unlike on Reddit, it doesn’t seem to devolve into abuse and downvotes. I also appreciate that it feels a little bit more formal here, and I’ve noticed most people on the DT writing longer responses (which I love, I’ve always written a lot!)

If you do decide to head back to Reddit, I’d love it if you still popped by every once in a while to say hi and let us lemmings (ha! Get it?) know how you’re doing!

I like the reddit interface better. But there are people I like here. So I’m gonna be openly non-monogamous and check both for a while and see what happens. Please be accepting of my sluttiness.

That’s okay! I personally do not want to go back to living on Reddit, and the only way that I will is if the majority of the DT stops posting here. Glad you’ll still be around though SC!

I plan on making Melbourne, FL posts to annoy the annoyed over there and to amuse myself, but keep using this for DT

reddit was a bad-news, doomscrolling aggregator of chaos.

It’s dreadful, it would feed my depression something awful, the newspapers were worse

I’m not sure but keeping emotions even probably facilitates recovery from depression, I do know it feels better to not seesaw

It was indeed. For a while I actually kind of felt like I needed the drama and chaos of Karen’s screaming at minimum wage cashiers, and idiots tailgating causing accidents. But now that I’m used to it, I kind of appreciate not going “what a fucking tosser” to every single post I see. It’s doing wonders for my mental health! (who could’ve ever predicted being surrounded by constant negativity would screw up your mind?)
