    I’m assuming they mean they’re shunning Zionist scientists? I would guess that there are pro-Palestine scientists out there who have Israeli citizenship.

    Edit:article is subscription-walled but from what I read it’s specifically that scientists at Israeli institutions are getting dropped in protest.

    This is extremely foolish. If western universities and companies shun Isreali scientist, then it won’t take long for countries with antagonistic attitudes towards the west to embrace them, like Russia or China

    This partixular boycott is misaimed and pointless. Science and culture belong to the world, not to any country. By all means boycott research with military applications, or individuals who work alongside the IDF or other violent groups, but what’s the point in boycotting research on medicine or water purification?
