What is your favorite climbing movie ?
I really like the summit of the gods
valley uprising is my fav. seen it probably 15 times.
I was lucky to see it when it was available on Netflix. Quite nice indeed. Lots of history in there.
I still have to see it. It’s hard to find
The alpinist https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11790780/
“The North Face” is really high on my list.
But also like "Touching the Void, “Free Solo”, and “The Dawn Wall.”
And for a laugh, “Cliff hanger”, “Vertical limit”, and newly “Fall” 😂
Cliffhanger!

not Free Solo
free solo was good
Yes but because Free Solo was responsible for making the climbing gyms so crowded… we are not allowed to say that. Even though it was good.
lol are you for real?
edit: i should elaborate. ive been climbing a long time and have seen a few booms in climbing. i love to see people enjoying the sport. the more climbers the more desire for more gyms and more crags. new documentaries bringing new eyes to the sport has brought climbing to a new level in the last 20 years. in my opinion its a good thing.
Alec handhold is my favorite climber.
But for real, pretty awesome movie. Just hate getting asked about it from non-climbers.
Rampage with Sharma really got me hooked on the lifestyle, and going to see reel rock at local venues anchored me in the community.
Meru is amazing!
