Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, conservative activists led a counterattack against campus antiwar and civil rights demonstrators by demanding action from college presidents, the courts and the police.
Just imagine if they had done nothing. Just let the students talk and let the speech happen. There wouldn’t have been a big deal about it. Some people would have been offended sure but they can get over it. Just like everyone else gets over things that bothers them. Instead they made it a big deal so they could feel powerful over the kids. Must suck to be so much older than them and be so completely wrong.
They cancelled graduation after they banned the commencement speaker from speaking. Nobody made them do any of this.
