Also as I said, even with the non compete in place, there’s literally nothing to stop people who want to make money through these leaks to just sell them secretly, and then make enough money to live without working through the non compete period.
What do you mean “goes through?” It’s a decision from the FTC so it went through, unless I’m misunderstanding that process.

It’s not a weird argument. It is very much why this law exists.
Them saying “hey can I work at the SEC for 1 week and leave?” and the gov saying “yes, idc” is bad and will lead to even more fraud, I promise.
Again, nothing says they couldn’t limit this by industry.
