How does Lemmy work?

Hi everyone. I’m kinda new to Lemmy and is not 100% sure how this works. Is it nearly 1:1 to reddit? What kinda changes am I expecting?

Probably will be some that act like children. And you know what? That’s fine. You dont have to engage with everyone.
