While some of them play idiots on TV, they know exactly what they are doing. They are just bad at it. They aren’t really attracting the best and the brightest to their cause.
Every regular person needs to learn about negative externalities. I’m not even asking for people to learn more socialist principles which I wouldn’t mind; we’d be in much better shape if people just understood basic capitalist economic principles.
