Caveman Studios, the devs behind one of VR’s most popular shooters, Contractors, have announced a spinoff project titled ‘Contractors Showdown.’
Set to release in 2024, Contractors Showdown is a battle royale taking place on a 4km x 4km map, releasing on “multiple platforms.” It will support cross-platform matchmaking, and introduce new features such as a tactical PDA, ‘call-in support,’ and customizable weapons to name a few. The teaser trailer briefly shows the game’s map, which appears to have a heavy focus on roads; possibly suggesting the addition of player controlled vehicles.

Maybe I should finally give Contractors a try. I’ve heard good things.
I’d recommend it for sure! It’s likely my favorite PVP VR shooter, the amount of variety mods bring is just absurd. Halo with accurate feeling shields and jumping physics and weapons; Star Wars Battlefront with selectable vehicles and Jedi. It can get wild, and runs absolutely buttery smooth.
