Actually we do differentiate both: Wasser schildkrote/ Land schildkrote Tortue aquatique/ Tortue terrestre So yeah having Tortoise/Turtle to differenciate both is actually a good idea, because they both ARE different. Like the difference between: Bat/mouse Chauve-souris/souris… Wtf man? It like saying: Ape/Evoluted-ape Doesn’t make sense huh?
